Roy is an old hand who knows the Nana Huchy farm upside down & inside out. He is a wise old geezer who all the other Farm Friends turn to when they need advice or a problem solved. Roy does his best to make time for everyone, but his number one priority is looking out for his slightly arrogant nephew Rupert the Rooster (who is always getting into trouble with the ladies & hens) and, of course, raising his firecracker young grandson, Bubba the Rooster, who admires his older cousin Rupert & wants to grow up to be just like him (much to old Roy’s exasperation).

A literature fan, Poppy's favourite book is 'Animal Farm' but by no means does she identify with the characters. Rupert the Rooster is famed throughout the Nana Huchy farm & beyond for his superb good looks & charming swagger. He can sometimes act bashful about his reputation but he secretly adores the attention. If you spend some quality time with Rupert, you may notice him admiring his fine appearance in any & all reflective surfaces available to him. His uncle Roy cannot help but roll his eyes at the young Casanova & thinks silly Rupert is far too cocky for his own good! That being said, Rupert ultimately has a good heart. He is always trailed devotedly by the sweet-natured & rather clumsy Snowy the Goose or his adoring baby nephew, Bubba the Rooster.
